I MEGA love these shoes. It feels like I am bouncing along in my slippers and I love the extra height. The Adidas Superstar Rize is a flatform version of the classic Adidas Superstar trainer. I prefer it to the original style as it’s an updated look and gives me an inch or two extra in height.
A pop of colour on the lip is always a good idea through the festive season. Whether you’re scoffing sufganiyot at a Hunnakah party, or sipping champagne at a Christmas bash, do it with a slick of red lippy.
I have tried lots of red lipsticks this year, and I have finally discovered my favourite – Read My Lips by Teeez Cosmetics. I found MAC to be drying, Rimmel to fade too quickly and Barry M to smudge too easily. Read My Lips by Teeez Cosmetics is easy to apply as it has a sharp curved edged. I applied it at 8am and by lunchtime – 1 snack and 3 cups of tea later – it is still in full swing.
The Nuxe 24 hour soothing and rehydrating fresh mask was behind the first door of my YOU Beauty Discovery advent calendar yesterday. What a great beauty product to find as the weather has just become incredibly cold. It’s time to focus on hydrating and moisturising the skin over the next four months. This is a good allrounder as it’s perfect for all skin types.
Firstly I soaked my face in warm water, then thoroughly exfoliated. I then applied the Nuxe rehydrating face mask and left for ten minutes. After washing the mask off I noticed an almost instant softness to my skin.
Whilst browsing in Lush over the weekend it was the smell of the Avobath bath bomb that caught my attention. It was dreamily refreshing in an aromatherapy sort of way. The look of the Avobath bath bomb is very simple compared to the other bath bombs available at Lush Cosmetics, it was that smell that I knew I had to take home with me. To try one yourself click here – you won’t regret it!
I saved my bath bomb for one of my 5am baths. Achey and half asleep I stepped in to my lovely warm bath. Ready, steady, go! I launched the pistachio green bath bomb in the water. FIZZZZZZZZZ. It whirred round the tub releasing the gorgeously relaxing scent I had first been attracted to. The water felt softer too and turned green!
After my bath I noticed my skin was super soft. This is due to the olive oil and avocado in the bath bomb. The smells of bergamot and lemongrass gently woke me up. What a treat! At £3.35 per Avobath bath bomb, it really is worth trying one. I think you’re going to like it!
I find it impossible to walk past a Lush shop without going in, so on a recent visit to Westfield in Shepherd’s Bush I slipped in to Lush and treated myself to a pot of Lush’s Cup O’Coffee exfoliating face mask. It contains roasted cocoa extract, vetivert and coriander oil to create an addictive fragrance and leave your skin gorgeously soft. Coffee ice cream, coffee cake, a mug of coffee, iced coffee – I love them all, so when seeing this little pot of fresh coffee smelling goop I knew I had to try it.
It’s gritty and greyish brown and not very attractive, but oh my – it really is amazing.
How To Use
Wash your face with warm water, making sure it’s make-up free. Apply a 50p size blob to each side of your face and circulate with your fingers, allowing the grittiness to exfoliate your skin.
Apply to the lower and upper areas of your face to, avoiding the eye area. Then apply to the upper neck, chin and jaw area and exfoliate here too.
Let the face mask sit for 15 minutes. I recommend wearing a fantastically sparkly bath hat in this time firstly to keep the face mask out of your hair and secondly for extra awesomeness.
Another excellent thing to do in this 15 minutes is listen to Bob Marley’s record “One Cup Of Coffee.” Very relative, don’t you think? Whilst wearing the sparkly hat is the perfect combination.
After 15 mins wash the face mask off with warm water and a flannel, then stand back and admire your stunningly soft and supple skin.
The emperor of attention to detail, Markus Lupfer did not disappoint when it came to venue, props and decoration at his spring / summer 2016 collection show at London Fashion Week. Inspired by a Mexican desert, Lupfer filled the room with lone standing flowers. Simple, yet hugely effective. The collection was compiled of beautiful shift dresses, bomber jackets and stunning separates; with dominant monochrome colour-ways. Floral designs on the textiles complimented the room’s temporary design. I throughly enjoyed the lucha libre – mexican wrestlers embellished on the clothes. There is always something unusual in Markus Lupfer’s collections that makes me smile.
There is no surprise that this is the most beautiful pattern cutting I’ve seen at London Fashion Week 2016 so far, as J. JS Lee worked as a senior pattern cutter for 7 years prior to launching her own label. Jackie Lee’s SS16 collection was a true delight to observe and a beautiful way to start London Fashion Week 2016. As a “blogger” I enjoy writing more about style than what’s hot, and true to my word J . JS Lee’s 2016 Spring Summer collection was immensely stylish. High-fashion drapery, free-flowing textiles and beautiful cuts complimented dresses, pinafores and contemporary feminine light-weight suits. The colour palette was candy striped pastels and then bold contrasting monochrome with an echoing theme of beautiful printed birds; creating the ethos of “the bird’s flight to freedom”. This collection was timeless and filled with rejuvenated energy. This collection is absolutely my favourite so far.
Susnyara’s SS16 collection “Kardia” blew me away at New York Fashion Week. The collection itself is a romantic palette of pastel shades with a whisper of bronze. Unpredictable cuts and stunning drapery lends the feminine collection a hint of delightful chaos. Just enough to understand the inspiration of urban streets and modern day street fashion that play as ingredients behind these dreamy designs. Nina Susnjara designs with the contemporary woman’s figure in mind, making her collection wearable but at the same incredibly special.
So I am finally better. Although my hands are still filled with ouchy pain and my arms are very stiff. I haven’t posted on www.LuluWilliams.com in a while due to not being able to use my hands at all. Apart from clicking – which has been useful when shopping online. Wink wink.
I treated myself to the ASOS denim pussybow blouse. Being a great lover of double denim it’s a fab wardrobe essential for me. This shirt is great for wearing with this season’s hottest textile – suede. It’s great with leather or PU and fab for dressing down pencil skirts. I love matching it with my high-waisted boyfriend jeans and vintage printed heels.
The Marbella Club is somewhere my family has been visiting since the 1960s. With a spa, an 18-hole golf course (designed by Dave Thomas), tennis, gym, beautiful beach views and sumptuous lunches on offer it’s a fantastic place to visit during the day. I personally enjoy lunching at the “Garden Pool” restaurant during the day. Then walking down to the sun loungers on the beach. I have memories of being about five years old, wrapped in one of the turquoise Marbella Club towels and eating ice cream by the pool. When I have children I hope to bring them here, I am sure they will adore it as much as I do.
Beach or bar?
The perfect lunch view at the “Garden Pool”
In the evening there’s live jazz and drinks in the gardens, as well as a divine dinner menu coordinated by chef Juan Gálvez. Evening drinks can be enjoyed in the outside bar area with the jazz band or round the side of the hotel, amongst the peaceful garden of greenery and white washed walls. I recommend a refreshing Grey Goose and soda, with fresh lime served separately. They always serve it just how I like it.
