J. W. Anderson is a designer I have always had an eagerness for. With each collection comes – what I like to think of as a fresh laundry of stylish textiles. It’s a quaint way of looking at catwalk fashion but to me it’s as much about the materials used as it is about the styling.
The Spring/ Summer 2012 women’s collection saw a pastel based collection of pinstripes and straight-edged drapery. It reminded me of being 16 and stealing my fathers Saville Row shirts to tie up around my waist – crop top style or around my waist like a 90s skateboarder. by the end of that house party, park spent, heat wave of a summer 2 out of the 5 shirts were returned bedraggled, (the missing three…officially missing).
This collection is soo me. Just eight years older and with a lot more passion for fashion.
