So I am finally better. Although my hands are still filled with ouchy pain and my arms are very stiff. I haven’t posted on www.LuluWilliams.com in a while due to not being able to use my hands at all. Apart from clicking – which has been useful when shopping online. Wink wink.
I treated myself to the ASOS denim pussybow blouse. Being a great lover of double denim it’s a fab wardrobe essential for me. This shirt is great for wearing with this season’s hottest textile – suede. It’s great with leather or PU and fab for dressing down pencil skirts. I love matching it with my high-waisted boyfriend jeans and vintage printed heels.
The Marbella Club is somewhere my family has been visiting since the 1960s. With a spa, an 18-hole golf course (designed by Dave Thomas), tennis, gym, beautiful beach views and sumptuous lunches on offer it’s a fantastic place to visit during the day. I personally enjoy lunching at the “Garden Pool” restaurant during the day. Then walking down to the sun loungers on the beach. I have memories of being about five years old, wrapped in one of the turquoise Marbella Club towels and eating ice cream by the pool. When I have children I hope to bring them here, I am sure they will adore it as much as I do.
Beach or bar?
The perfect lunch view at the “Garden Pool”
In the evening there’s live jazz and drinks in the gardens, as well as a divine dinner menu coordinated by chef Juan Gálvez. Evening drinks can be enjoyed in the outside bar area with the jazz band or round the side of the hotel, amongst the peaceful garden of greenery and white washed walls. I recommend a refreshing Grey Goose and soda, with fresh lime served separately. They always serve it just how I like it.

I am a huge fan of Rimmel nail polishes – especially the polishes that dry in 60 seconds. The one feature that really attracts me to them is the curved-edge brush. Unlike square-edged brushes, the curve allows for the brush to cover the whole nail without need for correction. Rimmel X Rita Ora have launched a range of 12 nail polishes that are perfect for the summer and dry win 60 seconds.
I decided to try “Glaston Berry” as I am a sucker for bright coral shades. Also I loved the name! The 8ml bottle cost £2.99 in Boots. I love the 1960s style daisies on the brush it reminded me a lot of vintage Mary Quant cosmetics.
Once applied, the polish dried in approximately one minute. I only used one coat and then one layer of top coat. The colour came out very evenly and was thick enough to use as one coat. This is great for anyone who’s in a hurry when it comes to beauty. It’s also fab for popping in your make-up bag and using to cover chips. Grab yourself a bottle for summer! xx
On Saturday we went to The Classic Carboot Sale at Southbank. It was a great day out with DJs spinning records, a craft beer bus, loads of vintage goodies and fab retro homeware. The fella bought another Gabicci knitted shirt for his collection, I was the most controlled I have ever been and did not buy anything! Although, it was REALLY hard not to. The location was fantastic as it was right on the Thames. I would be browsing a rack of 1960s shift dresses and the London Eye would be in the background. I would’ve spent all day there if I could’ve and now I’ve been to one I’ll keep my eye out for the next.

After reading Pandora Sykes’ recent blog post “Lead With The Feet” I am now obsessed with Malone Souliers. Here’s a little about the company before I yap on about how fabulous their SS15 collection is.
The SS15 look book features a selection of incredibly stylish shoes, all placed in fetish poses. What attracts me to this collection the most is the different texture and colour elements the label combines; shocking pink pony skin on a classic mule design, brightly coloured leather shoe ties and stunning combinations of snakeskin and suede.
If you’re looking to treat yourself to a stunning pair of shoes Malone Souliers is the answer.
Keep your ear pricked for the name – they will be huge this summer.
Recently I discovered the online fashion boutique Pretty Little Thing: www.PrettyLittleThing.com. It’s a seriously awesome online shop selling everything from flatforms to waterfall coats and co-ords. On the subject of co-ords I’m seriously obsessed with Pretty Little Thing’s Zafia khaki crepe palazzo trousers and knot crop top.
How chic is that? It transports me back to how I imagine the 1970s to be; martini in hand by the side of some exotic swimming pool, chaps in aviator sunglasses smoking cigars. I would style it with vintage platforms, nude lippy and big voluptuous curly hair.
Another amazing item that caught my eye was the Amie camel suedette tassel jacket.
I’m actually dreaming about this! I would wear it with worn denim shorts and super cute printed 1970s-esque shirt tucked in to the shorts.
I really recommend you checking out their online shop: www.prettylittlething.com Pretty Little Thing have so many stylish pieces at really affordable prices. I know where I’ll be shopping this summer!
Bora Aksu presented a stunning collection at London Fashion Week. A sumptuous mix of texture, drapery and elegance created the dreamy romantic looks. MTV presenter Laura Whitmore modelled a stunning black number.
J. JS Lee brought back the 1960s design culture within her autumn/winter 2015 presentation at London Fashion Week. The new looks were a playful mix of tailoring and shearling. Greyscale tones, dusky rose shades and sharp pattern cutting stood stylishly dominant in this beautiful autumn/winter collection. Here are my favourite looks:
